HAPPY HALLOWEEN! (aka Maddie's debut)

So, at 7 days old, we dressed my daughter up like a chicken, much to Nana Carol's dismay. You see, considering she was not supposed to be born until November, we didn't have many costume options for this Halloween...a quick trip to a few kids stores produced this hilarious chicken costume at the bargin basement price of $4.99 - thanks to my sister! What you don't see is that her legs do not actually extend out through the bottom into the orange feet because she is too small, so we just layed the booties there for the effect. There was also a fuzzy chicken head but, alas, my daughter's head was too petite!

After dressing my newborn baby up like poultry, she made her debut into the world at our neighborhood's annual trick-or-treat walk. She was by far the youngest (and cutest) trick-or-treater on the block! We ran into several neighbors and friends along the way, all of whom commented on how sweet and funny Maddie looked. We were lucky enough to have Maddie's cousin, Lulu "the ladybug", here as well. I can't wait to show these pictures to Maddie's first boyfriend....
